1. Temperature
Silicon-phosphorus crystals cannot be used in water with a higher temperature. High temperature will cause the sphere to break and the silicon-phosphorus crystals will melt faster. For example: geothermal hot spring water.
2. It cannot be used on steam boilers and steam generators.
Steam can only be produced at high temperatures above 100 degrees. High-temperature water will change the metaphosphoric acid in the water into orthophosphoric acid, which will cause the silicon-phosphorus crystal to lose its scale-inhibiting effect.
3. The concentration is not easy to keep stable
Silicon-phosphorus crystals are naturally dissolved in a silicon-phosphorus crystal tank, and the higher the ambient temperature, the faster the dissolution. The longer the soaking time, the higher the concentration. Although there is saturation, the saturation has exceeded the normal use range.
4. When used on water purifiers (ultrafiltration water purifiers), there is a problem of high concentration after long-term immersion
Although this problem can be solved by regular drainage. But drainage conflicts with the selling point of ultrafiltration water purifiers, no drainage and no waste of water. For this reason, most water purifier manufacturers have given up using silicon-phosphorus crystals.
