Formation of water scaleThe formation of water scale usually starts from tiny crystals' formation. Crystals precipitates from supersaturated solutions have two links: crystal nucleus formation and crystal lattice growth.
And each link is divided into three growth periods: initial stage, medium stage, and terminal stage.
That is to say, after these three growth periods, the crystal nucleus can gradually from the crystal lattice.
The growth of the crystal lattice is a slow process, only in certain activated regions of the crystal nucleus, the crystal lattice can grow by adsorbing precipitated ions. And after three growth periods, crystals' lattices gradually form crystals, it is called the water scale.
